Cost of installing new kitchen faucet?
I was wondering what an average cost for installing a new kitchen faucet is? We just got a new sink and it is deeper than our other one and I would like to put the garbage disposal on the opposite side. I would attempt it myself but the lengths are going to be different and I don’t have all the proper tools.

Depends on height of drain line where it goes into wall.Sometimes when a deeper sink is installed the pipes in wall need lowered so the drain pipes don’t have to run uphill. If pipes are low enough in wall it should cost about 300-500$ to replace faucet, drain lines, disposal, and shut off valves.

Lic. Plumber 20 years
Where we are that would be more or less $200 done by a licensed plumber. It is not an easy job considering the very tight space under the sink. And at the upper back of the sink needs real patience when installing the faucet!!

You can do this yourself, and it will save you a bundle. You will need just a few tools, most of which you probably already have. Inquire at your favorite hardware store. The necessary parts include the riser lines from the angle stops to the sink; a pair of these will cost you about five bucks. If you do things with the garbage disposal, you’ll need a hacksaw, and suitable plastic drain pipe. You will need a bit of plumber’s putty if you install the disposal in a different location.
